Two more...
In My Shop Thursday January 31st 2pm EST.
Also, here are some detail shots of the other four animals. The lighting in my studio was very poor when I shot the first pictures of them. These should give you a better idea of their color.

My next shop update will be this Thursday, January 31st at 2pm est. These two new little friends will be there, as well as some others with hooded suits, beards, and hopefully, more antlers. We'll see how much I can get done these next couple of days. Stay tuned, I'll try to put up some more pictures tomorrow.
I've been working on a special selection of birds for my next shop update.
So far, I think there will be five birds and a couple little bearded friends - this Sunday, January 20th at 4pm EST in my Etsy Shop. See you then!
Finally! Here are some pictures from the Bazaar Bizarre in Boston on December 9th. It was really great! It is, after all, my *favorite* craft fair. Seriously. Everyone who organizes it is amazing and helpful and nice and their are highschool volunteers who are really great and sweet and willing to lug things around for you, too!
I really wish I had been able to make more animals than the thirty I showed up with... but maybe next year.
Here are some pictures of my table:
(Margie-- Thank you so much for this tree!! It was absolutely perfect! Thank you thank you!!)
It's funny that the couple weeks prior to the fair I was so wrapped up in my super stressed out "I'm not making enough" mode, that I kept saying "Why am I doing this? I don't need to do this craft fair! I can do perfectly fine online. I'm not doing this next year!"
Then, as soon as we got there, I realized exactly why I do this! I love it! I love getting stressed (in retrospect of course) and having looming due dates when theres a great event at the end of it. One day where I get to take my goods and meet people I have gotten to know online, face to face for the first time, re-meet crafters I met last year, hang out with crafter friends that, for some sad reason I only see at craft fairs (Thank you so much, bbb for letting me request who I want to table next to!), and best of all, I get to see the look on people's faces when they come over and pick up one of my animals for the first time. It is that moment alone that reminds me why I do this. After all, that I why I started making these little ones, because I needed something to make me smile like that.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the fair, everyone I got to meet, and every one else that I have met online and will hopefully meet once I start traveling to shows outside of New England.
Thank you!
A new fox has joined his fawn friends in the shop tonight.
I'm affraid I have gotten off-schedule a bit this week and have been randomly adding animals here and there. Well, it was only two animals, but just the same. Sorry I didn't give any notice. I wasn't sure how many I was going to be able to finish these past few days, and will be away this weekend visiting family again, so I won't be making a shop update on Sunday. Instead I just stuck in a couple little ones once I finished making them. In case you missed it, here's a picture of a new bird I made yesterday:
And here's the new fox, fresh in the shop:
NOTICE: I am changing my shop update tomorrow from 4pm to 7pm EST. I'm visiting family in NH tonight and just want to give myself a little more time to get more animals finished after I return home tomorrow afternoon. So, shop update: tomorrow, Sunday January 6th at 7pm EST. See you then!
I hope everyone's holiday was great! I know I really enjoyed my much needed vacation.
I've been back to work this week working on a couple little things, and will be making a small shop update this Sunday January 6th at 4pm EST. I made a new little one with big blue eyes and a furry white mane!
I'm still busy sewing and finishing up family holiday visits, but I will be sure to post more as soon as I get a chance. It will be a real update, with info about the Bazaar Bizarre, my holiday, what's to come in the new year for Fern Animals, some drawings I have been working on and lots lots more. So stay tuned!
See you tomorrow!
