Random ramblings (and a shop update!)
One week until Renegade! Yikes! I have been sewing as much as possible, and am not even close to being done yet. I think I have only about twenty five animals fully completed, and about ten others in various stages of being finished. Last year I brought around seventy five animals to Brooklyn with me, but that's just not going to happen this year! Oh well... I have been planning out my display in my head for weeks, and hopefully this weekend I will have a chance to do a practice set up. Then I'll have to package up my new card sets, press some buttons and magnets, and make some table signs. Plus more sewing, of course. So much to do, so little time! Always!
I've been working at home a lot these past couple of weeks, and it's been great to get to spend lots of time with my cuddly kitty, Kitchen. Justin and I have been going to a local video store on Wednesdays (dollar night!) and renting five or six films at a time. I saw Rosemary's Baby for the first time and I can't stop thinking about it. I love their apartment! All white and yellow. We are currently apartment searching (again!) and I keep daydreaming about our new place and making it look like Rosemary and Guys place (minus the Castevets, of course). I can't wait. We have moved a lot over the past couple of years, and I really need this next place to be somewhere we'll stay for a while. I want to actually put curtains up. For some reason, if I am uncertain about an apartment, I can't ever seem to settle on curtains. And I feel like it is curtains that make a room feel more cozy and homey. Needless to say, the apartment we are in now has TEN curtain-less windows.
Other movies I watched recently, while sewing up little Fern Animals: The Graduate, The Birds, Benny and Joon, Vertigo, Goodwill Hunting, Mommy Dearest, and The Stepford Wives (the original). Then a few episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld here and there.
So, I probably shouldn't talk about how few animals I have for the craft fair and then list some of them on Etsy, but... that's what I am going to do tomorrow. Only two or three, though. I have been missing my regular weekly updates, so I'll make one tomorrow evening around 5 or 6pm est. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I have to work at the UPS store tomorrow, and I'm not sure how much time I'll need to photograph and list the animals when I get home. I can't even decide yet which ones I will post, so you'll just have to stop in to see!
It's supposed to be in the nineties this weekend! I hope everyone enjoys the weather! See you tomorrow evening.
I am excited & patiently awaiting your etsy post! your fern animals are so adorable :) good luck with getting everything ready for renegade!

Oh you just finished watching one of my favorite all time movies - Rosemary's Baby is incredible. And Mommie Dearest? Made me never want to use Lysol.
