These are some amazing images that have, in part, inspired a new project I am working on. Have you ever looked closely at these hand sewn banners? They are truly incredible in so many ways. So are these women.
Have you ever seen Iron Jawed Angels? I've seen numerous times now. I am in love with that movie. See it if you haven't. Have I mentioned it here before? Probably. I like it that much.
There are also some great images from a folk art book I found recently at The Book Mill that got me thinking about this project I'm working on (are you curious yet?). I'll try to scan the images tomorrow for you all to see.

I am OBSESSED with Iron Jawed Angels--I'm always trying to get somebody to watch it with me! Can't wait to hear about your new project.

Amazing.
I just added Iron Jawed Angels to my Netflix queue and look forward to watching it. If you'd already mentioned it before and I missed it, I'm glad you mentioned it again!
The Book Mill is in my Top Ten Things I Miss About New England.

These are really great images, Ashley. That last one gives me the chills. Amazing to think that life was once like that...These somewhat remind me of Tracey Emin's quilts.
I am really curious to see what your project is!
