Last night I created a new little animal. It's my friend Rhea's birthday today, and I made this little one especially for her. Though all of my animals (other than the birds) tend to be fairly non-descript as to what they are (a combination of cat, bear, lion, etc) I think this one most resembles a deer, which is what I was going for. Her face looks a little like a lamb to me, though. A lamb-deer hybrid. I'll be working on making some more of these over the next few days to put up in the shop. I'll post some pictures of those ones here, too.
In one week we will (finally!) be moving to western Massachusetts, and I am so excited about it. Though I will miss the ocean, I am looking forward to all the trees. I am also planning on not getting a job. Yes, I will be making animals full time! (YAY!) I think this will allow me to actually prepare for the holiday season. I have already begun cutting out dozens of patterns for ornaments. And then there'll be birds, and cats, and lions, and bears, and deer-lambs, and antlers, and scarfs, and hats, and sweaters, and who knows what else will come about in the next few months...
New birds will be in the shop today, by 1pm est I believe.
