Justin and I already knew how incredibly lucky we are to have so many talented friends, but it has become even more apparent when putting together the details of our wedding. We didn't even have to ask our good friend Bill Hanscom to use his amazing design and letterpress skills to create a unique wedding invitation for us, he offered. Actually, I think he may have just assumed he was doing it for us! We obviously would never turn him down, and we couldn't be more happy about what he came up with. I love that it is a fold out poster! We already have one pinned to the wall above our bed, but I'm really looking forward to framing it and enjoying it's beauty forever.
Can you guess what inspired the "Let's Get Together"? So silly, but it's from one of my favorite movies, The Parent Trap! It's a really great song, and the best scene in the movie! I get the song stuck in my head every time I look at the poster. I like that! I think it suits me and Justin really well!
Here's the clip in case you have never seen it (the original version of the film, of course, with the amazing Haley Mills):
You can check out more of Bill's work on his website: Northern Mystery School. The "library book" invitation is particularly amazing in person!! Make sure to click on the images to see all the details. I hope he puts more images up of his work soon! (hint hint, Bill...)
Oooo! I love this invitation! What a great idea! That song is such an earworm...I'm kind of sad I clicked on the link and listened to it, because now it will be in my head for the next 3 years.
