I just listed a new pair of Love Birds in my Etsy shop tonight: Benjamin and Ruth. I am completely in love with them! Is it okay for me to say that about something I made? I ought to be in love with my creation, right? Well, either way, I am going to have a hard time parting with these two, but I am also super excited for someone to snatch them up and love them as much as I do (and hopefully let them perch atop a wedding cake too!)
These have easily become my favorite birds out of all the birds I have made. AND little Ruth here is Love Bird No.100!! I kind of can't believe I have already made one hundred of these! But I am ready to make a hundred more! In celebration of the hundredth bird, there will be a little secret surprise stuck in the box for the lucky customer :)
But for tonight, Benjamin and Ruth are sitting on the mantel in my living room, ready to ship out to a wedding or anniversary or birthday or a just-because party. I will savor every last moment I have to gaze at them. Have I gushed too much about these? Yes, this is a bit ridiculous, isn't it? Ah well...
I love the gold beaks and feet, I wish I knew someone celebrating a golden anniversary!

I just found your blog, LOVE your birdies. Sad to see you take a break but can completely understand that you are all crafted out. You'll feel lovely and refreshed after your break. Will save your Etsy shop as my fav to see what you are up to ;-)
cheers,
