I've been reading the history of the God's Eye. The Huichol people of Northwestern Mexico called them Sikuli and believed they had the power to see and understand things unknown. I've been spending my evenings wrapping floss on twigs, enjoying the colors and patterns, and thinking about magic and the mystery of life and nature.
Months ago, while sorting through vintage buttons at Reprodepot, I saved these old boxes from the recycling bin without knowing what I'd use them for... these little ornaments fit perfectly inside! I only have twelve boxes, so a collection of just twelve ornaments it is! These magical pieces will be coming to my shop soon.
These are beautiful! I am particularly fond of the yellow centered one -the color combo is fantastic!

They're beautiful, indeed! I remember making these as a kid. One of those things that's really simple yet complex, so you're proud of yourself.
I think it was a wonderful idea to make them.
